Gale Presents Excel Adult High School
Did you know, in Texas, over 3 million adults or 15% of the adult population are without a high school diploma?
At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, adults without a high school diploma suffered the highest rate of unemployment (21.2 percent in April 2020).
These adults also had the lowest weekly earnings.
Even during the best economic times, they struggle to achieve success and financial stability.
There is an opportunity to support these adults by helping them achieve their high school diploma through Gale Presents: Excel Adult High School.
Gale Presents: Excel Adult High School is a 21.5-credit, self-paced online high school that allows public libraries to offer accredited high school diplomas to adults who wish to prepare for entry into the workforce, further their careers, or attend college.
This is not an equivalency diploma.
Join the discussion with Gale representatives on what the program looks like from the perspective of the student and learn how the library can offer this life-changing program in just a couple hours per week.
