Rural library training for strategic planning.

Strategic planning isn’t just for large or urban libraries; developing a vision, mission, and strategic plan for your library will provide you with a roadmap to help you prioritize resources, navigate changing needs, and engage your community. This one-hour webinar discusses approaches to strategic planning that are sized for small and rural libraries and designed to guide your organization without the grief.

Kimberly Silk is the founder of Brightsail Research, a consulting firm dedicated to empowering libraries to use data to inform decision-making, support advocacy, and communicate impact. Kim’s consulting work, training, and teaching focus on building capacity in libraries to use evaluation and data to measure progress toward strategic goals, improve operations, and demonstrate outcomes. Kim is a sessional instructor at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Information and a Bowden Fellow at the School of Information at the University of Texas at Austin. She earned her MLS at the University of Toronto and a Graduate Certificate in Evaluation from the University of Victoria. She lives with her family in Toronto, Canada.

This will be a free, virtual training and will take place December 5th from 10am-11am. While this training is meant for rural libraries, anyone is able to attend. Register now to join!
